Junior Sales Representative

Nature Coatings Inc. is seeking a sales representative for full-time remote employment in the United States.  Our headquarters are located in Las Vegas, Nevada, our Chief Operating Officer is located in New Orleans, Louisiana and our Director of Sales is located in Tucson, AZ.

Nature Coatings is a biochemicals startup turning wood waste into the world's first 100% bio-based, certified and carbon negative black pigment that can be used in textiles, auto, paint, ink and more. Our pigment is a direct replacement for petroleum-based carbon black pigment and is adopted by brands all over the world.

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about sustainable innovation, is solution-oriented, and is eager to drive effective sales and close deals in a startup environment. As a member of our small, dynamic team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our sales efforts and contributing to our growth.

The ideal candidate for our Sales Representative position will possess an understanding of the sales process within B2B industries. Having experience in chemical or ingredient sales is advantageous. Key responsibilities include lead generation, following up on the leads, relationship building and successful deal closures. Strong negotiation skills and a proven track record of sales success are essential attributes. Additionally, we seek an individual who can lead by example, inspiring and motivating others to achieve their best.

The candidate will:

  • Work closely with the Director of Sales and company executives to generate leads and close deals

  • Represent Nature Coatings professionally, demonstrating a good understanding of our products

  • Conduct research on customer needs, how our solutions can address them, and identify gaps or issues with our solution implementation

  • Work towards achieving sales targets by planning effectively and analyzing performance data

  • Support the sales effort with a continuous learning approach and collaborative thinking

  • Be excited and adaptable to work in a startup environment, including participating in spontaneous meetings, being able to pivot if needed, and be solution oriented towards any issues that might arise

Requirements and skills:

  • Assist in creating and executing sales for various industries such as textiles, paint, ink, plastics and packaging.

  • Maintain records of sales activities in Salesforce and assist in tracking and analyzing key sales metrics

  • Update sales targets and pipeline as needed

  • Participate in meetings with prospects to understand their needs and foster relationships

  • Collaborate with the Nature Coatings team to refine messaging and propositions

  • Travel to visit customers and represent the company at tradeshows and conferences

  • Support day-to-day sales processes 

  • Be able to effectively work from home and be self motivated

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in chemicals or ingredients

  • Proven record of success with the entire sales cycle, from planning to closing

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Understanding of branding and its importance in sales

  • Interest in sustainable and innovative materials

  • Ability to work in a team and adapt to a dynamic environment

  • Willingness to travel at least 20% of the time within the US and internationally

Base salary ranges $55-65K + commission.

  • Commissions on sales achieved
